Norwegian by bloodline. Alaskan by nature.

65° North Fjordheim is a small breeding program in Interior Alaska, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Norwegian Fjord Horse. With Sunnyside Brigg's Xavier at the heart of our program, our Fjords are bred for sound minds, strong bone, hardy constitution, and versatility in the northern environment
When my dad came home with a Shetland pony in the back of his pickup truck, it was the beginning of my life with horses. My passion for Norwegian Fjords developed because of my love for Alaskan adventures. I needed a horse built for the Arctic climate and terrain, an easy keeper, and one who’s heart and resiliency could handle the extreme conditions. I quickly fell in love with the Fjords loyal and friendly nature and truly believe that they are perfectly suited for life in Alaska. We believe others will fall in love as well and strive to provide quality horses ready to thrive in the North.
We take great pride in our breeding program and feel blessed to have quality bloodlines available in the far north.
65° North is nestled on five acres with a view of Ft Knox mine, the winter Northern Lights, and the summer sun that never sets. Our Fjordheim (home of Fjords) makes the best use of the acreage with Pasture Paradise style, track system fencing. Our cozy barn and run in shelters provide the needed protection from the elements, however we generally see our Fjords choosing to stand out enjoying what nature brings.
